Let’s face it // Mondays stink. Or at least we typically expect them to stink. That is why, every Monday, I post seven positives from the previous seven days of the week as a reminder of what I have so that the week starts out on an upswing. There is much truth in the belief that happy people attract good things, so it is important to start the week out right. Sometimes it’s the more grand, but other times, it’s the simple things.
Between the last two weeks’ late posts, starting a new business, prepping for my school’s big state test this week, and now house hunting, I am completely wiped out. There’s a lot to be grateful for from this week — attending a tearful (from laughter this time) farewell dinner at one of my favorite restaurants with my boyfriend’s family, watching a fantastic movie with all the feels (go see Moonlight now!), hopping over to an impromptu lunch downtown with my boyfriend after a secret mission, and watching my boyfriend play a show at one of my favorite Austin bars with some of my favorite people. However, I’ve decided to simply write only a few things (much like this) for the next few weeks while I’m soon in the process of moving and having to cut my Internet — Typing from a phone is exhausting (finger cramps tell me I’m getting old) and formatting on a phone is next to impossible (my generation is completely showing). I’ll be here still every week with a brief summary to continue my gratitude practice, and then I’ll be back with a vengeance soon after!
